What troubles me most is that they're allowed to vote.

Unfortunately, although half of the population has an IQ below 100, EVERYONE is allowed to vote.

That's disturbing.

When I consider that I know virtually no one with an IQ below 100 (well, perhaps one guy on the FFFT board), but understand that they are there and voting, it's a wonder to me that the country still functions at all.

The vote needs to have a qualification round. A pre-vote test. I hardly care what the topic is, but something has got to be done to keep decisions from being made by complete morons.

BTW, before anyone gets riled up, I want to note that this is intended to be non-partisan. Why would ANY thinking person believe it's a good idea to let dolts vote?

I half expect someone here to object that whoever controls the test would influence who votes. Yes, that's a concern. Controls to keep that from happening would be needed, but it wouldn't be difficult to come up with a few.
