Hi DIG, or do you prefer the former moniker BTKs?

Anyway,

Just wanted to tell you the next time we have a big solar flare, a really nice big one, you could check out your hypothesis by going outside and soaking up some radiation and extra heat.

You know, kind of be a little like Dr. Franklin. He went out in the rain and lightning to perform his experiments! Laughing

The best,

micro....

no, I do not.

I have surveyed an adeuate collection of data and their resultant hypothesis to support my opinion.

I did not form my opinion first and then look for support.

There is a difference.

My current fascination is with the correlation between atmospheric carbon levels (ice core data) and warming (largely tree ring data and similar such stuff) with the argument that CO2 levels FOLLOW warming instead of LEADING or CAUSING warming. You should maybe look that stuff up. It would be a point you could use to support your pre-selected opinion.

This is all good academic stuff, and forms the foundation for denialism. But things ARE changing, and I think understanding that change, accommodating it, and influencing it if we can it what successful INTELLIGENT species do.

But what we have is the left saying if cars just got cleaner and the right saying its sun spots.

Bummer.

I don't think sun-spot folks should get to vote.
