I learned about minimum wage in 1964, right after I graduated high school. I worked for a department stort. The folks who worked there were paid $1.15 per hour plus 3% of their sales. Because of lay-aways, a couple of them made more money off their commission than I made working 60 hours a week. Then the minimum wage was increased to $1.25 per hour. Two employees lost their jobs and the sales commission was ended. The money paid out by the company stayed about the same but two people had to go hunt new jobs. The two top sales folks took a cut in pay so that others could get a raise. Sound familiar? Take from the haves and give to the have nots.

Wow, do I ever disagree. Read the following and see how long it takes you to figure out which political side is almost perfectly described:

o Mock those who take the Bible very seriously
o Our Country should not defend Christian or European Values
o Support Welfare
o Support Unions
o White People are Bad
o Compensation for Ancestral Victimization
o Support a Minimum Wage for the Poor
o Support a Maximum 'Wage' for the rich
o More Pay for Government Workers
o Oppose Drilling for Oil At Home
o Oppose Additional Nuclear Power Plants
o Oppose Burning Coal
o Support Solar / Wind / Geothermal Power
o Oppose SUVs
o Support Shoebox Cars
o Want Higher Taxes
o Want Marijuana Legalized
o No to Guns
o Animals are People too (a.k.a. Meat is Murder)
o Rent Control
o Pay for Services by Issuing Bonds
o Non-citizens should have the same rights as citizens
o Marriage is a Government Sacrament
o Industry Works Best When Run by Government
o Stop Defending Our Borders 

There. I've just defined what MILLIONS of people (Democrats) believe. It was easy, and I could probably produce a list that was twice as long if I spent another fifteen minutes thinking about it.

If people actually thought for themselves, as you imply that they do, I could not so easily compile a diverse list of recognizable Democratic attributes. (and, yes, I could do the same for Republicans.)

But people ARE "Dittoheads," "Zombies," and "Obummerphiles," ktc. Exceptions are UNUSUAL. I'm very surprised to see that you think otherwise.
