For some, yes. For most. But I don't think for everyone.

Since most Americans still believe that God is looking out for America and will shield her from harm no matter how badly we screw up, they haven't done much preparation. That means that they haven't really bid up the prices of the things that will be valued in the future.
And it means that today, you can still guarantee your children a terrific future - financially. I wish I didn't have to put that last word in, but I do. My expectation is that the American war machine will be in overdrive for the next twenty or thirty years.
I'm dreading the implications of that for my own child but don't see that there's much I can do about it. (Leaving the country has been considered and ruled out, though I DO believe the argument in its favor is a compelling one.)
