KTC> What was the inflation rate in 1974, 1975 and 1976 prior to Carter becoming President?

I do not remember the rates . . .
But, those years, include the last years of the
Nixon administration. And Inflation was a problem
for Nixon.

1975 was the exodus of U.S. forces from Vietnam.
(I believe most of the fighting had stopped a year
or two before.)

Nixon had also gotten U.S. on the Moon.

So, in the years you mentioned, the major budget
busters (and technology enhancers) were pretty much
slowing down. (Vietnam was ending and NASA was
scaling back.) Yes - those were pre-Carter.

Carter would have been elected 1976 . . .
And Carter accelerated the cut backs in NASA and
defense.

Carter is the one who'se regime is credited for
the term 'Stagflation'.

And there is good reason for it.

re: Carter-Like Inflation

What was the inflation rate in 1974, 1975 and 1976 prior to Carter becoming President? I know you would have to research this because goofy neocon editorials that you guys read would never provide this information. Wingers should only know what's good for them to know so that "It's All Jimmy Carter's Fault".
