there-in lies a HUGE part of the problem . . .

government just wants to 'help' our welfare addicts.
Problem is, their 'help' involves stealing someone
elses money to help them with.

I agree with that, except for the "as much as possible" part.

Government should exist to HELP its citizens, not to saddle them with obligations for expenses and services they don't wish to incur. Government should finance its operations with tariffs. It could be done. We had all the government we needed in 1910.
