...there are extremes on both sides. There are libs who want the gubmint to be in charge of everything in your life. I will concede that there are some who claim to be conservatives who want to do control ya too, but they generlly try to do it thru "religion" of some type. Personally I beleive in God, I just don't think he would appoint Jim Baker or Swaggart or any of the other TV evangelists to be his spokesman. God gave us free will, it's not my job to take it away from ya.

Nothing, unless carried to a goofy extreme like some anti-government cavemen want to do. I agree the federal government is intrusive and too involved in our lives.

On the other hand, I see areas that cry out for government action. Aside from recent fiscal excesses, I personally have not been abused by any government - local, state or federal. I have no problem paying my taxes, and I live in a decent town, state and, until recently, country.
