It often seems that way, but it's not true. Being poor and unemployed is still no picnic, even if you receive food stamps and such.
We have millions more poor and unemployed people these days, and they are expensive for society to assist, regardless of who is president. Even baby boomer demographics are against us.
The Permanent Bush/Obama Depression is still with us. It's just hiding under all that deficit and Fed money that we're pissing away.
Thank God Goldman Sachs is still doing OK. I know how much wingers worry about them.
