Don't know why but that reminded me. Years ago a friend went down to Mexico. He had a set of keys to a plane that was 'stolen' and was being held by the Mexican police. On Sunday morning he got in the plane, fired it up, took off quick and flew it close to the ground all the way back to New Mexico. There he landed at an airport just inside the U.S. He locked the plane up and threw away the keys. Then he notified the insurance company where it was. They sent him a check for $15,000. Back then that would buy a fancy new car but I don't think he spent it that away. BTW, the plane had been used to haul drugs up from Mexico.
