ribit,

re: "...romney isn't likable."

This is about as subjective as it gets, but I disagree with you. Romney IS likeable - but he isn't very well known, and that's killing him. The press has labeled him as a rich white guy and that's all that's stuck. Nobody likes the sound of a 'rich white guy for President.' For cryin' out loud, he sounds like a Kerry-clone.

Folks who don't know Romney will get a lot more exposure to him in the coming months. I think he's going to start showing some charm. He's already started showing his humor.

So, we'll see. I'm trying to be objective here; Romney won't be getting my vote... but that's not based on his lack of personality. I do think he'll be a far better President than the loser we've currently got.

...romney isn't likable. Neither was Bush 41, but he got elected over Michael Dukakis. Bush 41 said, "Read my lips, no new taxes" before he was elected. Afterwards, he "reached across the aisle" to democrats and gave em the tax increase they wanted so they would have more money to piss away. The result of that was him being a one termer. If he had stood to his committment, no one would have heard of Bill Clinton.
