Indeed, bigger vehicles become the norm with families.. SIL really needs a crew cab or an Expedition, just a bit tight for now, so they limp along, 5 of em in an extended cab.. their RV trailer is a 32', bunks for the kids, works great, but it's tired, needs replacing, really.. our 24' is just right for 2, a bit too cozy for more.. Old days we had a 5th wheel, put the kids back there... Handy...

The name-brands stations here are all now under $4.00 with one Chevron I saw at $3.899 and a UnoCal at $3.799.

I fill-up tomorrow so will let you know what I paid.

Yesterday on the drive-time home, they were saying that gas prices in the L.A. basin should drop another 20 to 25 cents by the 4th and will either hold there or drop a bit further through the summer. Our oldest is driving out from Texas with his family next week for a couple of weeks vacation so it would appear that he's timing it about right (he has a Chevy Suburban, needed when you have to travel with a wife and 4 daughters).
