Yeah, Barry Soetoro and Eric Holder are SO very concerned about protecting the legacy of George W. Bush, don'tcha know!
Operation Wide Receiver was not the start of Fast & Furious ... Wide Receiver was an attempt by the ATF to sting Mexican drug cartels by tracking specific weapons, IN WORKING COORDINATION WITH MEXICAN LAW ENFORCEMENT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BORDER, to catch Mexican criminals with the guns, lock them up, and recover the weapons. They put tracking devices in the weapons, themselves, and both the ATF and the Mexican Federales were actively tracking them. There were about 450 weapons involved and some of them fell through the cracks. So, the ATF decided it didn't work near as well as they thought it would and they shut it down.
Along comes Barry Soetoro and Eric Holder ... they see that, even with active tracking on both sides of the border, Wide Receiver did not work all that well as a law enforcement sting operation, BUT ... ah ha! ... as a political operation, this model would suit their purposes just fine! Remember back a few years when all the Democrats were harping constantly about American firearms "flooding" into Mexico and that "we" had to take drastic action to put a stop to it (and curtail the Second Amendment rights of American citizens, while they were at it)? Yep ... it was all a political setup ... the Obama Administration took the general model, involved thousands of firearms AND explosives, did not contact Mexican law enforcement at all, and made no attempt to track the weapons as they were walked into Mexico. Why? Easy. The Obama Administration knew this would exacerbate the growing problem of Mexican violence, they could publicly deplore the "fact" that American firearms were making the border region with Mexico more unstable, and use this as an excuse for a federal crackdown on American firearms. But, as often happens with political plots, it blew up in their faces and directly contributed to the murders of a U.S. Border Patrol agent and over 200 Mexican nationals. Now, Barry Soetoro and Eric Holder are desperately trying to keep the crass, solely political purpose behind Fast & Furious a secret. Barry Soetoro and Eric Holder are scumbags ... and accessories to murder.
