Why NY?
Long ago, I stopped questioning why NY does things.

Hell, New York, Maryland, and DC have given up on keeping 'ballistic fingerprinting' information on guns, because it doesn't solve anything. Now we re-adding this? Guess criminals will have to start using revolvers (no brass left at the scene).

"Flawed and unreliable" says who?
Those incompetent folks at the National Academy of Sciences, among others.
