by shoveling taxpayers money into their pockets is

Used to be a lot of folks were employed making
generic medicines. Cheap medicine, to be sure, and
in some cases not as good as name brand . . but in
most cases good stuff cheap. Then the 'do-gooders'
decided generic wasn't good enough so they closed
down the generic manufacturers . . . now the rich
manufacturers get richer and we got shortages of
the medicines pushing the prices (and profits)
higher.
Part of the way to get more people employed and give
'We The People' the best prices on the planet is
to allow healthy competition - where feasible.
