De,
I'm pretty sure that I once said that the 'choices'
for Presidential candidates smelled a lot like the
turds got together in a smoke filled room and decided
that the next President was going to be a creature
of the congress.

Historically speaking, 'We the People' have been
loath to elect a member of the congress into the
White House . . . and it would have had to have
occurred to 'them'.

That they would pony up a 'Mccain' versus an 'Obama'
. . . Well I despised both of them.

Zim.

ktc,

re: "Wingers, as usual, will be completely befuddled, and blame the wrong people or the wrong things. Obamaphiles, as usual, will remain blind as bats and hang on Obama's every word, ignore his actions, and blame Republicans. Po me! Nobody is on my side."

Not QUITE true. I think I was referring to Democrats and Republicans as "two sides of the same coin" before you ever started on your current, similar bent. You'll remember that I was always on your back about your wanting to use a guillotine on the Republicans, but never on the Democrats. That was pretty blind of you at the time, wasn't it?

Republicans and Democrats are playing a long, revolving game with one another. They don't REALLY care who wins an election today (although it is important that most of them think that they do) - for, as surely as the sun rises in the morning, the public will be unhappy with their choices in a few years and set today's losing party back into place. On and on it goes, round and round, and the only long-term change which ever takes place is that the Central government becomes larger, hungrier, and more dictatorial.

That's the PROGRESSIVE party at work, the one and only party calling the shots in America today. So long as Americans remain duped into believing that there really are two (or more) parties here, the Progressives march right along, winning election, after election, after election.

You know that now. So stop pretending that you're the only one who sees the light and start DOING something about it. (And riling up the Republicans without giving equal treatment to the Democrats is only likely to further promote the delusion they have that the two parties are fundamentally different and opposed.)
