re: "I paid for 100% of my older son's college education..."

If you are a significant taxpayer and sent your son to a non-private university, you probably paid for considerably MORE than 100 percent of it.

Unfortunately, the taxpayer funding these schools receive is huge and encourages them to increase their spending. Ultimately, it funnels right back to the students having higher tuitions.

I'd like to see the subsidies yanked completely from the schools and universities. There'd be a little culture shock, and then prices would come down. Waaay down.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

I paid for 100% of my older son's college education and I will also foot the entire bill when my younger son goes to college starting in another year.

I might be in a "pretty small minority," but that still supports my "not entirely" comment, don'tcha know.
