it is a significant segment of employers who are really looking to hire in a time of great unemployment.

...it's like the jobs selling magazine subscriptions. They hire some kid who sells magazines to his mama and daddy and grandma's and grandpa's and all his aunts and uncles and then he can't sell anymore so they let him go and hire another kid. It's not a real job.

Oh, I understand that truck driving is definitely not the best of jobs, ribit ... but, it is a significant segment of employers who are really looking to hire in a time of great unemployment. However, as the article says, potential employees without experience are looking at an investment of time and money to get the proper training to do the job.

As you already know all too well, there's no easy way out ... everybody simply has to take one step at a time. I tell my boys that life ain't easy ... you have to work hard and put up with a lot of crap you'd rather not do, but get over it and get on with it.
