I understand some of your skepticism about the inherent worthiness of making a career out of truck driving, ribit, but "it's not a real job"? Really? That's hyperbole on your part, in my humble opinion.

it is a significant segment of employers who are really looking to hire in a time of great unemployment.

...it's like the jobs selling magazine subscriptions. They hire some kid who sells magazines to his mama and daddy and grandma's and grandpa's and all his aunts and uncles and then he can't sell anymore so they let him go and hire another kid. It's not a real job.
