Note that I was in this facility a couple of years ago when I attended a reception during one of the conferences I’ve been to in Detroit. The cars there are amazing since, as it was noted, there are not only ‘classics’ but many regular cars all in fresh ,off the assembly line, condition including may concept and experimental cars.
But of particular interest is that at about the 1:38 point of the video they talk about acquiring a 1969 Corvair as part of an extensive car collection from the family of a guy named Pinky Randall in Houghton Lake. Pinky Randall was a guy who worked with my father when he was running heavy equipment for the Michigan DNR (Department of Natural Resources). I even met him once when my Dad took me to a job site up near Petoskey. I even recall him mentioning once that Pinky collected old cars. It's a small world.

Welcome to the GM tunnel of love in Detroit. Even the public and the media aren't allowed in this building. Very few people know it exists.
