Clo,

And how many of these 'investigations' resulted in no action because they were due to mistakes made by the state or was an honest mistake by what was a legitimate voter.

Gee, this study was from Florida...

I wonder if the list of investigations of 'voter fraud' included Ann Coulter when she attempted to vote during the 2008 elections but when she got to the polling place it was discovered that she was at the wrong location because she was actually living in a different precinct then where she was registered, but she demanded that she be given a ballot anyway and threatened the poll workers that she would get a lawyer if they didn't let her vote. They finally gave in.

But that was not her first problem with voting. She claims in her autobiography that she was so proud that she was able to vote for Ronald Reagan in 1980. The problem is that her drivers license records lists her birthdate as 1963 which would have made her 17 at the time. Either she lied or she voted illegally. And when she was questioned about this years later she refused to offer proof, such as a birth certificate, of her actual birthday saying it was private information.

In Florida, voter fraud is rarer than shark attacks

By Katie Sanders, Times/Herald Tallahassee Bureau
In Print: Saturday, March 10, 2012
.....

The shark attack figures include documented instances of sharks attacking human victims. The voter fraud cases indicate the number of cases deemed legally sufficient for an investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

If we were considering 2011 alone, voter fraud cases exceeded shark attacks. That year, there were 11 shark attacks and 14 investigations of voter fraud.

But the three years before that showed shark attacks happened more frequently than voter fraud cases. In 2010, shark attacks outnumbered voter fraud cases by 14 to 10, including one fatal shark attack. In 2009, the numbers were 19 to 9. Even in 2008, a major election year, there were 28 shark attacks but only 16 voter fraud cases.
