I think one of the reasons, perhaps in the 11th hour, that Chief Justice Roberts voted in favor of the personal mandate was that if the courts HAD ruled that mandates were unconstitutional what would have stopped people like the Koch brothers from going after Social Security, Medicare, Workman's Comp/State Disability. and perhaps even the need for corporations to carry liability insurance.

But then I do recall that one thing Roberts has always supported was the principle that governments have the legitimate power to levy taxes and so perhaps that's why he worded this opinion in the way he did since he knew there was 'case law' supporting the idea that governments have the right to levy and collect taxes and so it would shield him and the courting from being accused of 'legislating from the bench', not that will limit the wackos from going there anyway Wink

It's going to take a while for the spinners to get their act together, realize the public will like this turn, and not like Mitt messin' around with it.. Congressional races become even more important, as they try to shackle the plan, turn loose the corporate dogs..

What it means for us is that a couple grandkids with issues will stay on coverage their parents have... Not a free ride, but at least they are aboard....

What I don't understand is the topic decision, that it's OK to lie about military service.. Why no rants about this? Odd...
