Rather than take the time, I just filled local at the Chevron, $3.66, a bit over 20 gallons... ready for the weekend in the Gold Country...

Another 4-5 hour drive from here.. A chance to revisit the neighborhood.. I helped build it, nearly 40 years ago, yet another home away from home, chance for a few brews with my oldest brother... See if the '45 Jeep is holding up... Little F head 4 banger, never been opened since built... We put it to work dragging logs for firewood back to the cabin, or granite boulders, play time with chains and cables... No cells, no CATV, dialup, maybe... Nice...

This afternoon I paid $3.539 for regular at the Costco near my office. That's another 9 cent drop from just 7 days ago.

And crude dropped another $2.50 or so, to close at nearly $77/barrel.
