After the news, my friend from Texas emailed me.
Her husband's job was downsized 2+ years ago, he lost their health insurance & can't afford it now. He's not old enough for Medicare yet.
She is VERY glad Justice Robert's decided to let the bill stand.
In part this was her message: For Russ's two days in the hospital in April, the original bill was $17,000, exclusive of doctors. The cash settlement was between $3500-4000. How can this be?
