Because the Montana law attempted to abrogate the First Amendment rights of its citizens ... something The U.S. Constitution won't allow either federal or state governments to do ... and it involved campaign funding for the election of candidates for federal office, you twit.

Why did they override Montana, they wanted to end Citizens United in their state, the Supreme's would NOT allow them....
