'Zackly, mon. Health care is not a proper function of government.

I don't have 'life' insurance myself. I could never get past the reality that it's a bet against my life.

Yeh. I carry auto and homeowners insurance because they're required by law and my mortgage respectively, and the policies are heavy in the personal liability area because there is more financial risk of being sued than that of actual damage. And I have an increasingly expensive health insurance policy because the cost of any medical procedure is insane without it. A simple stress test/ekg is a few thousand and the cardiac catheterization/stenting I had recently was a $45k ticket. If there was no insurance, costs would be significantly less and the $10k I pay for insurance each year could be invested/saved for such emergency treatments. Maybe old-fashioned 'major medical' policies for the big tickets make a sensible exception to the notion of not having insurance at all.

What proves the utter stupidity of Obamacare is the lack of tort reform. Gotta do something about all the damned ambulance-chasers.

Unfortunately, you are one more of the Stupid Party that just flat do not get it, sir.

Now we have another chance to reform our health care system and in a way that does not result in higher costs, in fewer choices, and less personal control.

What part of 'conservative' do you NOT understand.

GET THE GOVERNMENT THE FUCK OUT OF THE HEALTH CARE BUSINESS, PERIOD.

It has NO BUSINESS THERE - and will ONLY FUCK THINGS UP WORSE.

You want to make REAL health care reform, sir ?

Then get rid of the freaking bookies and middle men that have such incredible support from ALL of you idiots in the Congress - and quit attempting to use 'scare tactics' on us.

What am I talking about ?

Make the 'national lottery' system of health care illegal. You will see ACTUAL costs drop by over 50 percent in less than 6 months.

MAKE INSURANCE OF ALL TYPES FLAT ILLEGAL - all it is, is gambling. And it sucks the blood out of all involved with it.
