What should be the 'basic concepts' of 'Our' modern
capitalist system should be the same concepts as
civilized society's and capitalist systems have
always been . . . And they were quite successful
in the past.
What you appear to be proclaiming as a 'modern
capitalist system' bears little resemblence to an
actual capitalist system.
Two examples.
1.) Welfare is the antithesis of capitalism.
2.) Over-taxing the rich in the name of 'fairness'
is also not capitalist.
Now.
For my money, 'Society' should take care of its most
disadvantage folks . . . But we got multiple
generations of able bodied folks sucking off the
welfare teet . . . . These are not 'disadvantaged
folks' . . these are parasitic leeches.
