That is a highly debatable subject.
In the meantime, the U.S. Navy is paying an exorbitant
price for 'Algae Oil' in hopes of powering a 'green
fleet'.
One result is that the R&D for such fuels is being
paid for and it is coming on line. Will it be
economically feasible? Don't know yet . . . but when
the fossil fuels do run out it'll be there.
