Old friend, electrician I used to work with when there was commercial work, competition sport diver with another HS friend, all over the globe... He's been hit twice out here off Tomales bay, and further down the coast... Still doin' it...
First time it got his leg, didn't like the rubber suit he thinks, let him go... Many stitches, scars...
Last time I know about he was out up here off Tomales, it got by the head and shoulders.. Head was in the jaws, it sliced his eyelid in the process, so he was looking out of the jaws, seeing the coastline... He beat the crap out of it's nose, again it let him go, his buddy got him to shore... Hospital time, many stitches, surgeries, to put him back together, still some scars, and the crazy guy still goes out there...
Abalone divers also get hit out here, one a few years back now, they never did find his head, shark bit it off... Old, experienced diver, but they are fast, powerful critters... Surfers get hit, or their boards do every year, they keep on goin'...
