Having two cortisone injections placed using a flouroscope for location for the two spurs that are causing the issue.

Hopefully this will take care of it. The injections also have Novocaine in them. I would eventually prefer to just remove surgically the arthritic spurs.

Will have to wait and see. Surgery like that is usually a last resort and for good reason.

I have read about the nerve killing procedure. My uncle had that done not long ago and it worked well for him.
My father needs that as well.

I think we have a family pow-wow this week-end so I am sure that will be discussed.

What are they doing with your spine?

Has you dr talked to you about getting novocane injections?
They inject a small amount and use A sonogram to keep track of the location. It only last a month or so. If it does the trick. They will use the sonogram to go back in to the exact same location and burn the nerve to kill it. If it doesn't work they will try a different location until they find the problem area. Works well.
