I have a friend from Mass. He was complaining to me that his daughter and her illigetimate baby are living in a slum cause da gubmint don't give them enough money for a decent place and da gubmint not giving them enough money for good food, and da gubmint not giving em enough for they healthcare. I axed him that since it was his daughter, how come he don't do somethin for her.
"OH NO!" Once they get to be 18 years old, it's the gubmints responsibility to take care of em!
That's the way those folks think and there is no understanding them. Nor can they understand us. They see the gubmint as being a giant mother/father figure with unlimited resources and the responsibility of cradle to grave care for everyone.
I had a liberal economics professor tell me once that the debt/deficit didn't matter because the gubmint could "ALWAYS" raise taxes. He couldn't comprehend that taxes could reach a point where people wouldn't produce anything to tax.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
