micro, I hope you are right about the battery. I have had several battery powered tools and none of the batteries last long with the constant recharging.

I have changed my mind about something common and practicable after spending a lot of time researching.

CARS.

Yes, automobiles. I know it sounds silly.

Two things.
1. ETHANOL IS BAD STUFF. It hurts your internals of the engines and it reduces the MPG's by 10 percent. Get that CRAP out of gasoline and lets improve our gas mileage by ten percent!

2. Hybrids.
Not electric cars, hybrids. I now have embraced ONE HYBRID because it is AFFORDABLE and will do as well as any other non-hybrid small car.

Toyota Prius C

Look it up. It is a SMALL hybrid that gets tremendous mileage. Actual owners are reporting mileage in the mid 50's on trips on the interstates. In the city it is no slouch either.
I can purchase one, the TWO series, for under $19,000. I got pricing yesterday.

MYTYH: replacing Lithium Ion batteries packs. NONE have needed to be replace since inception due to not holding a charge. They do not need replaced after 100,000 miles. Many of these early Prius's have over 200,000 miles on them and running strong.

So, after really taking a close look at these vehicles and the PRICE of at least this model of Prius, I have decided that this would be an excellent choice to purchase when mrs. micro is ready to let go of her mid-size sedan that is now 8 years old with 72,000 miles on it and in perfect and pristine condition.

The higher end full sized Prius is just too much money to justify the price differential. A 40 MPG vehicle can be had for far less than a regular sized Prius so the gas savings cannot be justified.

That is not the case with this model. The Prius C is affordable. The TWO comes with an automatic tranny and all the features you will ever need.

Take a look at it if you are in the market.
I was greatly surprised and impressed. That isn't easy to do to me.

See, an old dog can change his mind, at least partially... lol!!!!!!

the best,

micro....
