3 Americans Killed by Afghan Officer
Three Americans, civilian contractors working for the International Security Assistance Force, were killed Sunday when an Afghan policeman opened fire on their training center. A NATO spokesman could not confirm the specific jobs of the victims, but an unnamed Afghan official suggested they were trainers at Herat province’s West Zone Police Training Center. Afghan police were unsure whether the shooter, who also died, was tied to insurgent groups.
