The main drag of downtown Houghton, MI, a couple of blocks from my hotel.
And 'The Library', not where we went to study but a bar that was the favorite of many of us when we were students (the original building was gutted by a fire a few years after I graduated and was rebuilt and expanded adding the section with the windows which look out over Portage Lake, as seen in a pervious photo).
Anyway, as you can see, Winter is a significant season in that part of the country.
