The unintended consequences of OMPoC.

Maybe the Dems should have thought this stuff out before they passed this pile of crap during their two year honeymoon in 2009-2010.

It's being reported that as a result of the Hobby Lobby ruling, some employers, who hold strong religious views, have already made comments to the effect that this will now permit them to ask about an applicant's personal beliefs during job interviews and even if they claim that they are complying with legally mandated non-discrimination rules, this could open up a can-of-worms for state labor boards to say nothing of precipitating justice department investigations if someone is NOT hired after having been grilled about their religious beliefs, something that is currently not allowed, except by actual recognized religious organizations. However, some of these so-called 'born again' business owners are convinced that the Hobby Lobby decision is a 'green-light' from the Supreme Court telling them that they now have a 'God given' right to ask the same questions as does an actual religious organization, like a church or synagog. This could get very ugly. Justice Ginsberg was right, the court has just stepped into a minefield, but it's going to be innocent men and women who are going to be hurt by this, to say nothing of the additional tax-payer's money that will now be spent enforcing the non-discrimination laws that have been on the books for years.
