...carrying guns is like being gay. Ya got a right to do it, but the baby clothes section of a Target store isn't the right place for it.

Target: No More Guns in Stores

After photos of gun activists carrying assault weapons in the baby-clothes section of a Target store in Texas surfaced, and a loaded handgun was found in the toy section in a South Carolina location, the company officially asked customers Wednesday not to bring guns into the stores. “This is a complicated issue, but it boils down to a simple belief: Bringing firearms to Target creates an environment that is at odds with the family-friendly shopping and work experience we strive to create,” said interim CEO John Mulligan. Mulligan even addressed the fact that in many open-carry states, it is legal to bring guns into stores, saying it is asking customers “even in communities where it is permitted by law.”
