...first gun I ever had I was 12. It was a single shot .410 shotgun. Never allowed to use it or touch it unless my dad was with me. My second was a .22 rifle. I was sixteen by then.

A high school friend has a son who got in trouble in school. He told a teacher that a Thompson could be shot one round at a time. His pappy taught him about guns at a young age and he actually can fire one round at a time. But then his pappy, my friend, knew how to teach about guns. Guns are deadly when used in unsafe ways. But then, so are cars. How many kids die every year by not driving safely?
