Back a few decades, in San Diego, we had a black guy that was stopped by police several times and questioned and asked for ID. He eventually became something of a celebrity and was known as "The Walking Man". He did not carry ID - as he would point out to the police - the law did not require it. He was actually transported to the police station the first couple times, but quickly released. At the time, all the news media reported each time he was stopped. This was all before cell phones, internet, etc. He walked exclusively in La Jolla, a wealthy, mostly white suburb of San Diego. The reason why he walked in La Jolla was because - -
that is where he lived.

OCU may remember this if he was living in SoCal at the time.

...if one white guy does something bad it's proof positive that we all do it. If one black guy does something bad it's an anomaly.
