...he will need help bathing and getting in and out of bed. Nothing his wife can't handle unless she is an invalid. If he has no wife, bring him over to your house and take care of him.
...he will need a thingy to help him put his socks on with.
...don't buy him one of the many expensive and complicated ones. The one pic above is what I had and it worked just fine. The others I refer to as "digital sock putter onners."
...he may need a booster seat to put on the toilet if ya got one of them old fashioned toilets that are lower to the ground than the newer ones. Don't get the potty seat with legs that sits over the toilet. It's like being a bombardier and if ya miss, well he can't clean it up.
...mostly he will not be able to bend any more than ninety degrees at the hips and knees. He will also have to sleep with a pillow between his legs if he is a side sleeper and with his legs elevated if he sleeps on his back. If he sleeps on his belly well he's thru sleeping for awhile.
...after he gets to the point where he can get the cut place wet (shower) he can use a shower chair which can be a really elaborate piece of medical junk or ya could just get him a plastic lawn chair. He will need a shower attachment with a hose if he wants to clean everywhere and he will.
...if I think of anything else, I will let ya know.
