KTC, WHY did you title your post "Amnesty"? The President's executive order has in NO way granted legal 'amnesty' to anyone. He has merely ordered, which is within his power to do so, the suspension/delay of the deportation of any person who has dependents who are either US citizens or who have already been given legal authority to be in the US, most of whom are the so-called 'Dreamers', children who have lived virtually their entire lives here and who have managed to gain legal status in one manner or another.

If you want to talk about real 'amnesty', you'll have to go back to what Ronald Reagan did back in the 80's, which everyone on the Right seems to have conveniently forgotten.

AUSTIN, Tex. — Texas and 16 other states filed a federal lawsuit on Wednesday challenging President Obama’s executive actions on immigration, arguing that he violated his constitutional duty to enforce the laws and illegally placed new burdens on state budgets.
