The truth is Hamas is a bunch of assholes. they will never get back the homes they abandoned and/or lost fighting the creation of the State of Israel.

That said,Netanyahu matches them for assholiness. He keeps building settlements where he doesn't belong, and has them living like rats. He is enabling Hamas to be the assholes they are.

That encapsulates the current state of shit in Palestine.

Let's not forget the rest of the Arab world who have sat on THEIR hands while THEY have also been watching the plight of the Palestinians all these years. It's not like they don't have the resources (read 'Saudi Arabia and those other rich Persian Gulf states like Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, etc.) or for that matter room to resettle them, but NO they'd rather have them remain a thorn in the side of Israel. They have no problem letting people whom they think of as second class people suffer and die in order to keep their hands clean when it comes to making Israel's day-to-day life miserable.

And another little acknowledged fact is that when the State of Israel was established, there was an opportunity to also create a second, Palestinian state as well, but these same Arab nations would have nothing to do with it since that would have put a buffer around Israel and would have taken away the one overriding reason for their opposition to Israel, that it was occupying land that should have remained Arab.

And let's not forget that Europe and the rest of world's hands are not totally clean either as they turned their backs on a large portion of what people referred to as 'Palestinian' but who were also Christians. Again, it was inconvenient to accept the idea that these dirty, brown-skinned people might have some reason to think that they should have been given some consideration by people who shared a belief structure with them. It was much easier to think that everyone living there was either a Jew or an Arab. Much cleaner in terms of their (the non-Islamic/non-Jewish world's) perceived responsibility for people who got the short end of stick in this deal.

No, there's enough blame to go around when it comes to looking for who's really responsible for the plight of the Palestinians.
