I heard him on the radio today attempting to make a case that because the cop wasn't in a rage, he didn't premeditate killing him, so at most it would be manslaughter. Still could face 20 years+.
What Geraldo ignores, the cop only needed a second to premeditate the shooting & killing. The cop showed grave indifference for life, as he continued to fire his gun.
That said, I would give the jury several options, just in case. Better to get a conviction then have him walk.
