How odd. This morning I took a look leaving the folding at "medium" and ppd are back to 89k which is great. It must be that some project assignments are very stressful while producing meager points. At least that's my conclusion. We'll have to take this as it comes. Temperature is 90C, cpu usage 91%.

I assume we can assume reduced points for all. That's fair. However something is wrong with one of my computers I suppose.

It's folding 14-16 ppd at 100% usage with temps 97-98C. That's real hot. So I lowered the folding from "full" to medium. That reduced the temp not at all. The fan is set at 85% and I had blown out any dust this morning. The case is open. The cpu usage went from 100% to 91%.

I'm going to reduce the folding to "light" and see what happens. That reduced the temp to 55C and cpu usage to 51%. I put it back on medium and the temp returned to 97-98C. Why so hot?

If I pause the folding the temp drops to 45C.

ArVee, I thought you recovered your computer there. Now I'm not sure.
