Hi Sun --

Is it getting as far as so start work and thereby determine the core you're being asked to run? If so, it may be we don't like the new Core_21 and that can be addressed.

Can you go back in the master log file far enough to see what happened when the problem started/caused it?

Does the Dreamer otherwise run? Try some other app that taxes her a bit, some application that's handy. Temps more or less normal??

You might have to post over at foldingforum.org but I scan there and I haven't seen this one. They're really good though.

Let's try this stuff first. btw, not quite sure why a web page is opening up when all you're trying to do is start folding, even after a new install. After all the above we'll next try starting it all with Internet access disconnected to see why it wants a web page.

Anybody else feel free to join in, I'm not real happy with my ideas so far.

ArVee - or anyone!

Dreamer keeps shutting down folding. I start it back up, it shuts right back down.

I tried rebooting the computer and that did nothing for me.

So then I thought, it's been a long time since I've had to do anything other than just check in on it, maybe I need to update the version - I I went to the website and downloaded version 7.4.4 - it downloaded, I ran the install, a web page opens up,then I get the message again that folding has shut down, then eventually a window pops up on the web screen that says folding ha likely stopped and to restart it it then refresh the screen.

I'm stumped as to what to do now :-(
