Yay!

I wondered if something got halfway better, just from production output last day or two but I dared not make a sound because every time I have in the past I've jinxed it, lol. Turns out it's one machine getting all the way back (I think).

As I'm sure you know all by yourself, the page you're seeing is the perfectly normal version of the web page version which is better than nothing but we've always preferred and used the regular output which we get to with the Advanced control choice of the three, also perfectly normal. And btw any time you're in doubt about whether folding's still running, either cpu or gpu or both, go check them out in Task Manager as an alternative.

And yes I can confirm you're waaaaay farther than you were getting, you told me it barely got started and told me the spot.

Team,

By jove - I think maybe I've got it :-)

I did an uninstall, told it to remove data and everything, then did a new install.

It still opens up a web page - but this time, I didn't already show up with my ID - it gave me the option of folding anonymous or entering my ID and pass code.

That seems to have worked this time. We're setting at the CPU 4.88% complete and the GPU 1.38% with an estimated 80,315 points per day. This is a lot farther than than it got the other day

Now - if I can just get Hollywood back up and running . . . She went back into that "no icons showing up" mode. For a while I didn't do anything about it as I felt like she was at least still folding, but I thing that eventually stopped - so I shut her down before going on vacation. With ArVee's good report on Windows 10 - I may just start fresh with that and a new hard drive - when I get a chance - life has been hectic lately!

Sun :-)

Oh - the website it opens is http://folding.stanford.edu/client/
And I notice when I click on the icon down in my tool tray, the window that pops up give the option of Web Control, Advanced control, or Protein Viewer
