Their protests about the other version of the same word represent such a double standard that I don't take their complaints at all seriously. They've politicized the word to the point where their protests mean that they are nothing more than hypocrites.

"Hypocrite," by the way, is the most obscene name I think a person can be called - because it's not your skin color, your religion or your ethnicity. It's not WHAT you are, but WHO you are. It's far worse than any pejorative I can come up with for a person's ancestry or biology.
