The team management wants to turn them into what the Oakland Raiders used to be. It's a bad plan.
For many years, the Raiders were the most successful merchandisers in the League. I don't know if that's still the case, but at one point, every gang-banger wannabe in the country wore a Raiders jacket. Somehow, I don't see them ever getting that enthused about intimidating 49er apparel.
