CHINESE LEADER REMOVED FOR ‘DISLOYALTY’
China’s ruling Communist Party removed the governor of a major province over supposed “disloyalty” to its leaders. Wei Hong, governor of Sichuan province, was deposed as part of “growing political intolerance under President and party chief Xi Jinping,” the Associated Press reported. Wei has been demoted to a lower-ranking departmental post and no official explanation of his alleged dissent has been given.
