I was told that a great aunt of mine
lived in Sweetwater about a hundred
years ago. I was told that she had
rattlesnakes in her yard and was
known for grabbing the by the tail.
She would then swing them around her
head and 'pop' the head off. The
snakes are common in this area and
once killed lots of people, especially
kids and pets. There have been several
stories of plumbers finding snakes
under houses and call in hunters to
capture ten to thirty or more. Not
what you want your kids playing with.
