Quite all right. I guess it's easy to confuse my criticism of Cruz and my vote for Trump as meaning that I like Trump and dislike Cruz. Neither is correct. As a friend, I'd far rather have Cruz. I just can't bring myself to elect Goldman Sachs to the Presidency.
So I'm left with Kasich and Trump. A vote for Kasich is a vote for the G.O.P. establishment, and I am thoroughly fed up with the G.O.P. establishment. Trump is a very childish but successful businessman who doesn't get along with the G.O.P. establishment at all. He might be really good for the country. Probably not, but I can't rule it out since Trump's positions aren't clear on most issues. I do think he'll at least lock down our southern border, and that's one of the most important issues for me.
So that explains that. I don't like Trump, but I don't hate him either. I'm cautiously optimistic that he'll be a good President. (I would say the same about Cruz, except that I don't think Cruz is electable.)
