Thoroughly enjoyed this piece. It is EXACTLY how I see what happened. And I was one of the first to credit Obama with the destruction of this stupid party now composed of a bunch of assholes.
Unfortunately, I have little faith that they will learn anything, and if Hillary becomes President, we will have one of the same and probably more.
The funny thing is that Obama didn't go out to destroy them. It's just his natural way of doing business in an initially naive, reasoned aloof way that did them in. He thought they wanted to govern with him. They wanted him dead, from the get go, before he was even inaugurated. He has now honed in that into practice. He doesn't owe them shit, he's done it all on his own, he's accomplished WAY MORE than Clinton did, and will deliver a country that survived the greatest modern disaster ever, in good shape.
It is sad that the same stupid that brought these shitty, stupid candidates to the forefront of Lincoln's party, think they could "take back America". They don't even know what America is. And for that, the future is murky.
